Youth Centres
 

Made Together Music works with youth centres to create practical, social and participant-led music experiences that give young people the chance to make something of their own. Sessions can be built around songwriting, live instruments, beat-making, electronic production, rap, vocals, percussion and recording, with plenty of room for young people to shape the sound, theme and direction of the project. The focus is on creativity, teamwork and self-expression rather than prior musical ability, making the sessions suitable for complete beginners as well as young people who already play, sing or produce music.

 

Our approach is well suited to informal youth settings because projects can be flexible, responsive and built around the interests of the group. Made Together Music’s founder has experience supporting young people through community-based learning, transition work, employability-focused activities and creative sessions, including music production and one-to-one support. This experience helps us create sessions that are structured enough to have a clear purpose, while still giving young people genuine choice and ownership over what they create.
